The Perfect Tie
The perfect tie has at least a hint of the colors of your shirt, pants and jacket. For example, if you wear gray flannels with blue shirts and a navy blazer ties that combine gray, blue and navy will be your best choices.
When you shop for new pants, jackets or shirts look for ties in combinations that will bring you new pieces together.
To make dressing easier:
- First decide the suit, jacket or pants you want to wear
- Choose a tie that has the color of the suit in it or both
the jacket and pant colors in it.
- Choose a shirt in a color that is also in the tie
Tie tips:
- Your tie should end between the top and bottom of your waistband
- Avoid wearing silky dressy ties with casual suits or jackets
- Choose ties in your best colors
